Libraries are basically built for computer using and book borrow-ing．The only library in West High is consisted of two pans which are computer labs and book sections．Computer labs are places where we usually go to do our projects like ESL’S and American Study’s．Every student is given a user name and password as soon as he enters in to this school．All the computers in the library are connected by a net-work system set by school．Of course，we can come to the library at anytime and use any of the computers if need．This mostly benefits the students who prefer to have the work done in school and those who need cooperation in projects．Sometimes I went there to surf the net and check my Centerpoint after class．
Books in American library are extremely colorful．When doing anew project，students can always find out the materials they want in the library．Generally，novels and documentaries stand a great a nount of percentages．There，I once found a few books discussing and comment-ing on Chinese history and development．Something especially worth mentioning is that some Chinese leaders were even focused and written in book by some American authors．There were books in other lan-guages but unfortunately I did not find any in Chinese before I left．Ev-cry student can borrow a book as long as the ID is taken with him orher．Only if the book you want to borrow is scanned on your card，could the book be yours temporarily．It is said that if someone delays the due time or loses the book，they need to pay for it．Nevertheless，American people are usually careful about the books they borrow and have no means of destroying the book intentionally．
The cafeteria in West High is the biggest one that I"ve seen so far．Even so，the lunchtime has to be．divided into parts．Paaly it is due to the great amount of students here．There are definitely abundant choices for you to choose for lunch．Pizzas and hamburgers are the main ones．Of course，they are the only two American foods that I knew before coming here．2 or 3 dollars can get you a lunch great enough，includiug a bottle of iced milk，a piece of pizza and snacks for whatever you want．To assure that I have food to eat in the cafeteria everyday，I have to add money to my ID card successively．There are also lots of students who do not eat here in cafeteria．They take food from home and eat in the hall way without heating them．American students basically don’t care about whether they eat on chair or not．Most of them just find a locker and sit against the wall．Some of the students who may have even bought food in the cafeteria too refuse to eat inside and go and sit in the hallway instead．Lunchtime is indeed short in West High which is only about 20 minutes during which you have to spend time getting to the cafeteria，washing hands in the restroom，queuing to get the food and eating them up．usually the encounter in the lunchtime was very colorful because the lacking of time can cause everything funny and al-so troublesome to me．
The library and the cafeteria are the two most unforgettable places during my stay in West High．There，I left both my memory of joy and trouble．They are the places documenting my truest life details in West High．I miss them．
