Suzuki Yoshio accepted recheck though he was dubious about the acupuncture treatment. In the end he was told he had contracted syphilis, acupuncture treatment was ineffective.
Hearing this, Suzuki Yoshio blushed with shame.
Thereafter, the doctor gave Suzuki Yoshio injection of milky white soup everyday. He asked the doctor, "What medicine is this?"
The Doctor said, "it is penicillin, a specific medicine recently invented by the United States."
Back to the ward, Suzuki Yoshio asked an elderly "police officer": "What disease penicillin is used to treat?"
"Penicillin is a kind of antibiotics, a valuable drug. Presently it is not easy for China to import it."
Suzuki Yoshio was very surprised at hearing this. After his disease was cured, he repeatedly expressed his thanks for the medical workers of the management center.
